At National Mobile X-Ray (NMXR), we believe that education and innovation go hand in hand. That’s why we are incredibly proud to announce our newest partnership with Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute (CCC&TI) in Hudson, North Carolina. Starting with the Fall 2025 semester, National Mobile X-Ray is officially serving as a clinical rotation site for students in CCC&TI’s Radiography Program—a milestone that represents growth, opportunity, and a shared commitment to the future of diagnostic imaging.

From Employer Spotlight to Clinical Partnership

This partnership began earlier in 2025 when National Mobile X-Ray was featured in an Employer Spotlight event at Caldwell Community College. During the event, faculty and students had the opportunity to learn more about the work we do in mobile radiology—delivering X-rays, ultrasounds, and EKGs directly to patients in long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other non-hospital environments.

The program director at CCC&TI was so impressed by the professionalism and mission of NMXR that she approached us about the possibility of becoming a clinical site for their radiography students. After months of collaboration and planning, we are thrilled to say: it’s official. As of August 18, 2025, National Mobile X-Ray began hosting its first group of CCC&TI students.

Supporting the Caldwell Community College Radiography Program Students

This partnership means that both first-year and second-year radiography students will rotate through our teams in the field, gaining real-world experience beyond the traditional hospital or clinic setting. Students will:

  • Work alongside our highly skilled technologists in real patient environments.
  • Learn the nuances of delivering care with compassion, efficiency, and mobility.
  • Experience the flexibility and problem-solving required in mobile imaging.
  • Observe how technology and teamwork come together to bring quality diagnostics to patients at the bedside.

By bridging classroom learning with practical, hands-on exposure, these rotations give students an invaluable edge as they prepare for careers in radiology.

Why Clinical Rotations Matter

Clinical rotations are a cornerstone of any healthcare program. For radiography students, they offer an opportunity to practice positioning techniques, safety protocols, and patient communication in real-world scenarios. According to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), clinical education “is essential for developing the competence and confidence needed to succeed as an entry-level professional” (ASRT).

At NMXR, our technologists know firsthand the importance of having mentors who guide you from student to professional. Being able to invest in the growth of future technologists is not only an honor—it’s part of our responsibility as leaders in the mobile imaging industry.

A Unique Learning Environment

Unlike traditional hospital rotations, students at NMXR will see the unique challenges and rewards of mobile diagnostic imaging. They’ll gain experience with:

  • Travel-based healthcare delivery – moving between facilities, adapting to different patient populations, and maintaining consistency of care.
  • Independence and teamwork – balancing autonomous work with the support of a highly connected clinical team.
  • Adaptability – learning how to perform imaging in diverse environments, from nursing homes to rehabilitation facilities.

These skills not only make students stronger clinicians but also prepare them for a future where healthcare delivery is increasingly shifting outside of the hospital walls.

Looking Ahead

National Mobile X-Ray is excited about this partnership with Caldwell Community College and is deeply honored to contribute to the development of tomorrow’s healthcare workforce. The first group of students joined us in August 2025, and we look forward to expanding the program in the semesters ahead.

We believe this collaboration will inspire more students to explore the dynamic and rewarding field of mobile radiology, and we are grateful to CCC&TI for trusting us as a partner in their students’ journey.

Join Us in Celebrating

Please join us in celebrating this exciting milestone! Whether you’re a student, healthcare professional, or community member, we welcome you to learn more about how National Mobile X-Ray is shaping the future of diagnostic imaging—one clinical rotation at a time.
